Why “wet” is not a limitation, but an advantage in specific conditions

Some people think that wet separation is a thing of the past. But in fact, it remains the only way to work with fine fractions (−0.074 mm) without agglomeration and clogging. We measured this on 12 installations. AISI 316L stainless steel drums last 8–10 years if washed regularly once every 72 hours. Cheaper analogues made from 304 steel lose their surface smoothness after just 2.5 years - and efficiency drops by 15%.

Energy consumption is another “invisible” parameter. A standard 7.5 kW motor with an efficiency of 89% provides stable operation at a load of 65–85%. But if the project specifies “11 kW motor,” this is often a signal of compensation for the low efficiency of other components - for example, suboptimal design of bearing units or poor drum balancing.
